ISHIK UNIVERSITY An ISO granted university with high international standards in Erbil.
The process of ISO 9001:2008 started on January 01, 2014 with the preparation of organizational charts and job descriptions of all the staff in the university, and then we prepared the description of QMS procedures followed by the educational and operational procedures.
Later, we formed many committees to check all the documentations. Before application phase started, we had done some training and awareness seminars for staff to get everybody involved in ISO process.
After applying the Quality System, an Internal Auditing Cycle was applied to the academic and administrative units in the university including the top management. The quality of processes was checked and evaluated and the results were presented to the higher committee in a Management Review Meeting.
Finally, a team from the certification body “British Certifications Inc. Accredited by JAS-ANZ” made an External Audit Cycle and upon the results Ishik University was granted with the ISO 9001:2008 certificate on June 04, 2015.
External auditing process will be repeated every year.
