Head’s Message

Head of Department Statement

Mechatronics is a vibrant multidisciplinary branch of engineering interlinking Electronics, Mechanics, computer as well as communication and signal processing. It is the core for any Robotics and.1or Automation system.

Since its inception, the Mechatronics Department has incorporated modern teaching techniques: implementing; student centred learning and learning by doing. Everyone is encouraged to take part in practical projects that are carried out in the Laboratories of the department. Besides the other non-classroom activities, the department provides a range of seminars and workshops which are presented by our staff and visiting professors. We enjoy a good relationship with the community and numerous Non-governmental Organisations (NG0’s) through events; such as scientific trips; and short courses and open days. This culture has helped to provide good learning environment to our students by enriching their experience.

It is our goals to equip our graduates with good communication skills beside the necessary technical knowledge, in order to be prepared for the employment market after graduation.
