On Monday 21st October TIU- Architectural Design Department Organized a scientific trip for (fourth-grade students) as a part of the scientific activities that relate to Architectural Design Studio Vl. Under the supervision of their lecturers of Architectural Design, (Dr. Muammal Ibrahim, Dr. Shaimaa Al-Kubaisi , Dr.Adeeb Noori , Madyan Mahir, and Research Assistants Mr.Idrees Ismail, Miss Wafaa Wasfi and Miss Lava Ahmed), they took the students to the Raparin Hospital, CMC private Hospital and UKH academic Hospital in Erbil city. Two buses were provided by the university to transport the students.
During the trip, the students were led around the hospitals to observe the general theme of the hospital and walked through its departments. They listen to the explanation of the employees inside the hospital and their lecturers. While analyzing several aspects of the design elements, including zoning, circulation, activities, and functions.
The students were taken to three different types of Hospitals to see the difference between the Hospitals. It was a useful way to show the practical implementations of the theoretical design that the students would get in the coming.
