You are invited to participate in the International Conference on Architecture & Interior Design (ICAD 2018) in the city of Erbil, Kurdistan, Iraq on February 7th and 8th, 2018 under the theme of “Targeting Sustainability and Heritage”. The event is jointly organized by Ishik University and Salahaddin University. Presentations will be delivered by international high profile researchers and keynote speakers.
Ishik University was established in 2008. The University has created Dentistry, Economics and Administrative Sciences Engineering, Science, Education and Law Faculties which require high expenses, and has enforced the budget to provide educational and research centers at modern university standards. Ishik University with around 3000 students and 240 staffs from seven different countries has an international position among local universities where cultural interaction takes place. Ishik University gives priority to researches to promote knowledge, to contribute to science, to support learning, and to improve social interaction.
Salahaddin University-Erbil is the oldest and biggest public higher education institution in North Iraq and especially in Kurdistan region. The institution that became Salahaddin University-Erbil was founded in 1968 in Sulaimani. In 1981, the university was moved to Erbil and the name was changed to Salahaddin University-Erbil.
Salahaddin University-Erbil is the oldest and largest public comprehensive university in Kurdistan region. It is the educational home to more than 26,000 undergraduates and more than 900 graduate students. Salahaddin University-Erbil offers more than 75 undergraduate majors and award degrees at the certificate, bachelors, masters and doctoral levels. The programs include: Engineering, Science, law & Politics, Agriculture, Business & Administration, Physical Education, Art and Sociology, Fine Arts, Languages, Religion, and Teaching methods. Salahaddin University-Erbil has more than 1700 academic staff and 4,000 employees in administration and professional staff.
The instructional, research, and service missions of the University reflect the needs of the respective geographic areas. The University also serves state wide, national, and international needs by offering consultancy, educational and research activities in communities throughout the state and through research and training exchanges and world-wide partnership programs. In this way, Salahaddin University-Erbil has enriched the cultural, political, and industrial sectors of Kurdistan for four decades, playing a major role in the advancement of Kurdish society.
The aim of the conference is to gather researchers, professors, practitioners, educators, students of Architecture Engineering and Interior Design with interests in Architecture Area at all levels from regional Universities of Kurdistan and international universities all around the world. Invitations will be sent to universities in Kurdistan region of Iraq, regional universities in Lebanon, Syria, UAE, Iran, and other international universities around world.

Submitted paper should be in English including illustrations, references & appendices and without page numbering. Papers should be submitted electronically in MS-Word or PDF format. All papers will be fully refereed by a minimum of two specialized referees. Before final acceptance, all referees comments must be considered. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings.

Submission
Full paper must be submitted (Abstracts are not acceptable). Submitted paper should be in English and must not exceed 8 pages, including illustrations, references & appendices and without page numbering. Maximum number of additional pages is 4 (at extra cost – see registration). Papers should be submitted electronically in MS-Word or PDF format. All papers will be fully refereed by a minimum of two specialized referees. Before final acceptance, all referees comments must be considered. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings.
