Collaboration MoU with Leicester University

Ishik University has signed a partnership agreement with Leicester University to enhance the academic cooperation. Such cooperation would open the door for students and lecturers to exchange experience and academic publications and researches. This cooperation will focus on: student exchange, Erasmus plus program, double diploma, Joint master program, Joint conferences, MSc and PhD programs, summer school and staff development training programs. According to the agreement, Ishik and Leicester Universities are going to make collaboration on the following issues:

Student exchange
Start work on Erasmus plus program between two universities
Double diploma: one year In Kurdistan, two year in UK, or 3 year in Kurdistan 1 year in UK
Joint master program in Erbil Ishik University
Joint conferences will be arranged.
Organizing Ishik University students to study for MSc and PhD in Leicester.
Arranging Ishik undergraduate students for summer school either generic or specific course.
Modules in Ishik University course be endorsed by University of Leicester.
Short course for Ishik staff to be organized by University of Leicester as part for staff development training.

Ishik University delegate have been warmly welcomed by Leicester President Prof. Paul Boyle. Ishik University delegate was consisted of President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş, Fatih Cura, Dean of  Faculty Economics and Administrative Sciences, Dr. Doğan Özdemir, interim president of Ishik University Sulaimani Campus, Director of Global Education in London, Talip Büyük and John Yılmaz visited Leicester University. The delegate met with Leicester President  Prof. Paul Boyle, Vice Chancellor Prof. Sarah Dixon and director of International relations Office Dr. Michael Green. Moreover, Karzan Kerim (PhD) was intermediary between Ishik and Leicester Universities. He accompanied the Ishik University delegate visiting to Leicester University as well.

Also, Ishik University delegate met with Dr. Raj Patel, course director MSc Cancer Cell and Molecular Biology center and had been hosted for dinner by Prof. Paul Boyle in the historical Knighton Hall.
