Proudly, we would like to inform the community that International Accrediation Institution ZEvA‘s Commission for International Affairs (KIA) has decided to accredit the Bachelors’ program “Civil Engineering” at Ishik University, Erbil, without any conditions and for a period of five years.

Congratulations to all our staff who tried hard to make it happen and to the ones who supported during the process!

The full wording of the decision is:

“The KIA follows the experts’ report and recommendations and takes note of the university’s response.  …
  • The KIA is solely entrusted with evaluating the quality of teaching and learning at universities outside Germany based on the reference framework of the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ESG).
  • Any standards or value systems beyond the scope of the ESG are of no relevance for the work and the decisions of the commission. 
  • In due consideration of the requirements of the ESG, the KIA decides to accredit the Bachelor’s programme in Civil Engineering as offered by Ishik University, Erbil, without conditions.
  • The accreditation of the study programme is valid for a period of five years.”
