Seminar on Criteria of NUR System in 2016-2017 Academic Year

In the presence of Dr. Idris Hadi Head of Board Trustees and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Oztas President of Ishik University, all units and Deans of Faculties with Head of Departments of Ishik University held a seminar on 7th February, 2017 as to NUR system (National University Ranking) at main building of the university. The seminar was presented by Dr. Salah I. Yahya Coordinator of NUR System from Ministry of Higher Education. In his session, he explained how NUR system works and what its importance is for the University.

Ishik Football Tournament Ended!

Deanery of Students of Ishik University organized a Football Tournament between the dates of November, 2016 and February 21 , 2017. 34 teams from all departments and staff as well as graduated students participated in the tournament in which all the teams had the great friendship and fair play. On 21 February, the final match was played between Business Grads Students and Law Department students at 14:00 pm. Consul General of the Netherlands Meets Our Students for a Roundtable!

  Consul General of the Netherlands in Erbil Janet Alberda visited Ishik University for a round-table on Monday, February 20. The Consul General was welcomed by the Vice President Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Dean of Law Faculty Dr. Huseyin Cakillikoyak, the Dean of Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economy Fatih Cura, and the Acting Head of IR Department Ibrahim A. Anli. February 15 was announced as a special day for children with cancer in most of the country around the world: International Childhood Cancer Day. In this context Ishik University with partnership of Kurdistan Save Children (KSC) organized an amazing Fundraising event in main campus. Enhancing the Cooperation with the Ministry

On 12th February, 2017, Dr. Beriwan Khailany Member of Ministry of Higher Education Committee of Baghdad visited Ishik University concerning the revision of the university regulations and setting up a cooperation. Dr. Beriwan was warmly welcomed by Dr. Idris Hadi Head of Board of Trustees and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Oztas President. The main agenda was to revise the law and regulation of Ministry of Higher Education of Iraq and review the connections between our university and the Ministry.

ITCO’17 was taken by the High School Senior Students

On February 11, approximately 6000 out of 7000 registered High School Senior Students took the 6th annual ITCO examination in 4 different cities, 30 districts, and 23 test center for this year, 2017. The exam has been held in Erbil, Sulaimania, Halabja, and Duhok. More than 500 proctors as volunteer were ready for the examination. The examination was formed in four languages Kurdish, Arabic, Turkish, and English for those who took scientific (ilmi) category; Kurdish and Arabic for those who took literary (edebi) category.
